Freemeshx. How can I download just the europe region?

Hi there,

 

I love the look of freemesh, but the whole download will take me two days. I only want Europe and the UK to fly around in. Is there a way of just downloading Europe and the UK. If not I may have to pay for the premium download. But is this safe to pay and opt out easy after the first months subscription? Many thanks.

Install a free torrent client and use the torrents.

The all-in-one batch file will begin to download the entire set in sequence -- all 7 installers and their associated .bins.

 

The all-in-one torrent can download the entire set, or download just a subsection. You can control what regions are downloaded in your Bit Torrent client.

Just another question, I downloaded the europe folder and inside it has BGL files. How do I install these please?

installl like any other sxenery

 

create a folder, for example

c:\fsx\Microsoft flight simulator x\addon scenery\FMX\Europe\Scenery\

 

or, if you prefer for example:

E:\FMX\Europe\Scenery\

 

with the .bgl files inside folder "Scenery"

 

 

(or drive D: of course,whatever you want)

(not on external drive)

Then start fsx,

and activate your new scenery

using the "Scenery Library" menu.

 

(PS, you can one install the single region or more, as desired. But you allways need to install and activate the "patches" folder as well.)

In addition: the Patches folder should have higher priority than the Europe folder.

 

As for priority: a good place to insert addon mesh is just above the numbered folders (0000 Base to 1107 Base) and below the default continents.
