ColR1948
Another one of Dave Molyneaux's aircraft, his words on it: Following on from the success of their single-engined Courier, Airspeed Ltd. decided to respond to requests for a machine with better performance and with two engines for added safety. The result was the Envoy series I ,II and III. These were built to accomodate 6 passengers and featured a lavatory compartment in the rear or up to 8 passengers occupying all of the cabin space. There was small luggage compartment in the rear. They were quite succesful being used by a number of commercial operators both in the U.K. and abroad. A total of 52 were built but there are no survivors today, the last, G-AHAC being scrapped in 1950. Col
