Bruce Kennewell released here a small adventure file related to the "Imperial 109" flight descripted in Richard Doyle's novel. Ovisouly Bruce published the flight as an unfolding story in blog format. His creation was accessible with a link which doesn't works anymore.

Therefore my question: has anyone eventually downloaded the file and has still it somewhere in the deepest drawer of his system? I would higly appreciate any advice or information about this matter.

Neverthless, I recreated a 1938 Imperial Airways flight from Southampton to Durban wih the Short S.23 'Caterina'. Here at the intermediate landing in Port Bell on Lake Victoria, then the seaplane base of Kampala.

Hi Bernard, great scenery! Regarding the file you're after, it is available as a historic flightplan here at FlightSim, and at AVSIM as file: imp109.zip

Follow these links:

FlighSim: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=search&fsec=0&fname=imp109.zip

AVSIM: https://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=empire+flying+boat&CatID=root&Go=Search

Unfortunately that file contains no more than a readme, a gif and a link to a defunct website!

You're right Chris - the file contains just empty promises... :-(

Fortunately, other packages by Bruce Kennewell of FlightSim are more complete.

Bruce has a current blog, http://bkennewell.blogspot.com/ but sadly it appears that his flight sim activities ceased around 2007. He now appears to focus his activities on the rail forum at https://mainescenery.proboards.com/
