I’ve always assumed that you can’t. Following, if someone knows otherwise.
Intel Core i7 10700KF (8-Core 5.1GHz Turbo Boost), RTX 3070 8GB, 32GB Dual Channel at 3200MHz, 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. Monitor: Samsung C49RG9x. VR: Oculus Quest 2.

I've never been able to. I always get out of VR mode, then open the tool bar.

Do what I do.. simply go into the keyboard settings..

change filter to all.. search for tool bar and bind the spacebar (or any other button/switch that you can easily find while wearing your headset.

Very smart, Steve. I never would have thought of that. I'm supposed to get my HP Reverb G2 tomorrow. We will see if it shows up. I'm so excited to get it. I can't wait!!!

I had a reverb it worked one time then I kept getting an error code 4-1 or 1-4

so I had to send it back which sucks, so I bought an Oculus 2.

its ok but I really wanted the reverb. Hope you have better luck with it. a lot of people were having trouble with it.

I used to do the same thing until the last update now it won't work like that anymore

I though that I herd someone say something about opening up the tool bar in VR mode

but I couldn't find it anymore.

As I said earlier.. just go into control settings page and bind the spacebar (or a joystick button etc) to toggle the Toolbar (can’t remember if there’s a VR Toolbar or the regular toolbar, but just search and you’ll find it)

It’s really that simple :)

I don't know if this helps but my sim is pure..... that means I have not altered it in anyway the only thing in the community folder is the Helicopter, and that was always empty until yesterday.... a lot of you have mods and tweaks. Personally I think that is a waste of time until ASOBO have completely sign off on the software, and I think this is part of the problems with some being in conflict with the updates and causing you all sorts of problems.....

I’m not having any problems (although I’ve had some previously) & I’ve several addons... including the H135 helicopter. Wow! It’s rather good isn’t it? It works in VR too :)

I had my share of issues in the beginning, a mixture of hardware and and MSFS problems but they worked their way out... I just get the odd ctd I believe when the graphics card bombs out.... I've been monitoring the system recently, my CPU is running at around 17% GDDR around 75/80% and the card itself is always running at 100%..... and there is the problem my end the card working flat out and why I need to upgrade it! I'm ok in VR as long as I don't go near cities with intense scenery, that bombs out the card every time..... I just had a hover around St. Maarten I bought the scenery yesterday and I managed to control it around the airport with ease.... most be me yesterday I took it for a spin and it was more of a fight than a flight...... not tried the chopper in VR yet....... I'm upgrading my mountain e-bike from 500 W to 750w today so that will fly too off road lol

just a thought try reinstalling OpenXR Runtime....... Quest 2 which I love almost as much as the G2 but for none flightsim related things is getting a refresh rate upgrade soon to 120Hz that may help to read the dials better.....

edit: Make sure the G2 is plugged into a USB 3.0 port.......

I've noticed that the Quest 2 resolution is already considerably nicer. Looking forward to an even better upgrade.
