Flythrough
Hello everyone, Since the latest update I have seen a few places covered in snow, and sometimes in the air. But the last few days I have seen none. It has snowed in my area for the last two days; but when I use the in game live weather there is nothing on the ground. It just seems to read from the current weather and put it as that. Same goes for REX weather force. I realize there are still bugs but am I missing something? To add, how is the weather system in the game determining "when" ice or snow is on the ground? Thanks in advance. DaddyTim
Yes, strangely I had the same experience. We had 3 to 5 inches of snow on the ground, yet nothing when I applied "Live" weather. Flythrough
I get it, its a complicated game. I'm still amazed at how much it does do right, but its bizarre that it really doesn't work at all. I 'am new to PC gaming and its overall been a great experience, but I still feel somewhat confused on all these updates claiming something and the exact opposite happens. daspinall
with updates the problem is we don't all have the same setup. so the updates can cause conflicts with the rig the software the controllers and addons.... If we all drove the same car from the same factory there would be far less issues with updates..... And yes the game is state of the art and breaking new ground in the sim world, and relies on many teams coming together in harmony ..... on my system the ice works as should, the snow works well when I dial it up in weather settings.... Disneyflyer
I flew a leg from SFO to ANC today and when I broke out of the clouds on approach the mountains were covered in snow. Continued on and then landed on a snowy runway. I am running Rex Weatherforce. ....Signature not required for delivery.... **i7-9700k @ 3.60GHz, GeForce RTX 2070 Super, ROG Strix Z390-E, 32gb G Skill 3200 C16, 1 TB Pcie SSD, 850w Power** **Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Logitech Throttle, Logitech Pedals**

So do we have any idea how they do it or determine snow on the ground? I have been flying in the Montana and Wyoming area which is always getting snow this time of year and there is none on the ground anywhere, but weather seems to be working overall.
