Simple Question for Day 14

OK, I've learned how to move the drone (External View) around, using the A S W D R F keys. Funny thing: when I'm in drone view, I have no control over the actual plane I'm watching.

 

If the drone is supposed to be looking at my plane, why can't I control that plane, just like in the other views?

It may be easier for you with an external controller like an XBOX 360 Controller hooked up to the pc. That's what I use.

 

Also, when you do it, do you:

 

1: Turn on Active Pause

2. Then enter drone camera mode?

I'm wondering if there is a way to still fly the plane while you're in the showcase mode? Does hooking up an xbox controller allow you to still use the joystick to fly? I guess you need 4 hands though if possible. I liked the way the old external views were set up in FSX-P3D where you could still hand-fly the plane. I assume with a bit of work I can set up custom cameras somehow to bring back the external and wing views?
