data65
I have a 1070ti and it works great in 1080p but for 4K I would wait until the 3000 series cards come out later this month.
W2DR
I have the same CPU and have looked really hard at this issue. Based on what I know I wouldn't go with anything more than a 2060 Super as the 4790K probably won't be able to feed it. Intel 10700K @ 5.0 Ghz, Asus Maxumus XII Hero MB, Noctua NH-U12A Cooler, Corsair Vengence Pro 32GB 3200Mhz, Geforce RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, and other good stuff. I'd second that - I'm currently using a 1660 Super and it rocks MFS (high settings) at 1080p although I'd recommend chipping up to 32GB of RAM. My rig: GTX 1660 Super Ryzen 5 3600 OC 4.2ghz 16gb 3200 Ram (will be doubling this) MFS loaded on SSD drive
Luke
I would do absolutely nothing for four weeks until the 30x0 series comes out. I have a 1070 and am looking at either a 3070 or 3080. Cheers! Luke
JohnnyJohnJohn
My current PC has a 2080ti 11gb, and waterblocked, so it works beautifully with the new sim. Thermaltake Ryzen Gen 9 3900x 12 cores, 4.6 ghz 32 gig of Ram, Liquid Cooled Everything.
DominicS
Staying on topic... As others have kindly mentioned, I wouldn't go higher than a 1660 Super or an RTX 2060 (for AMD, an RX 5600 XT, perhaps a 5700). Higher tier GPUs might give you a few additional frames per second, but they will be seriously hampered by your CPU; not to mention the fact, you'll be paying through the nose for the privilege. P.e.g.a.s.u.s
Yep. I'd go with the 2060 or even 2060 Super. That way it has good chance of a life post-retirement of the current system. ^^^^ ´´´\/``` AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 48GB RAM, RTX 2070S, 2x1TB Nvme SSD. FSX Gold, XP-11, MSFS. I agree. I run an AMD 5700 and MSFS runs and looks great.
