I was told a RTX2080 would be too much for my system (might as well get a new system) Is this true ????? will a gtx1650ti do much more????? say increase FPS by at least 10 fps ????? Running MSFS at about 80% of Ultra (high settings) Task Manager says GPU is at 99% CPU 55% RAM 65% thanks Edited August 30, 2020 by johnyyz Core i7 10700K OC to 4.6 all cores/EVGA 750W G+ PSU/ MSI Z490 edge mobo/GSkill RAM DDR4 32GB(2X16GB) 3600mhz/ ASUS TUF RTX 3080/ Win10 home/ Asus 32 inch monitor 1440p/ CH Flightstick
g7rta
Your RAM speed might be a hold up. You’ve got 32gb which is good, but it’s only 1600mhz. I don’t know if the pc can take 3200mhz? Might be worth looking into Regards Steve Intel I9-13900K - Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX - 64Gb DDR5 5600Mhz - Asus RTX4090 ROG STRIX 24GB 3x 43” Panasonic 4k TVs - Corsair RMx 1200W PSU - 2 x 2TB M.2, 2 x 4TB SATA III and 1 x 4TB M.2 SSDs. I don't know how to overclock stuff. stempski
with your motherboard(Asus Z97A) and a 4790k (the k means its overclockable), you can use the Asus AI Suite to find the best overclock for your CPU. Try the 5-way optimization. It will find the best fan settings, CPU frequency and voltage. It will do all the testing and them make a recommendation. You can use the recommendation, or make adjustments to it and save. The latest one for the Z97A is AI Suite 3. You should also update your bios to the latest available (28.01) before you do this. Do you have CPU-Z? ( by CPUID)... if not, google it and download it. It's free, and will tell you everything you need to know about your hardware (MB, CPU, Memory, GPU). But under no circumstances will you be able to run at Ultra with an i7-4790k. Thats just a fact.
