Guest Sascha66
Get it at your usual download location. New features in this version: - photoreal trees - various hires textures for even better definition. Plenty of optimization and tweaks: - improved colour blending - lots of autogen improvement - better fields and swamps - improved golf courses - night lighting for roads - frame rate optimization and much more. Sorry, I haven't updated the tweak document yet, and I have forgotten two airport night textures, so will update the fs9_texture.zip on Monday from the office (I have a really terrible upload connection at home). Enjoy! Sascha

JSMR
Very impressive Sascha. Those night lights are amaizng too. Plus I’ve always loved your oceans. My favourite of all! Only thing is I have a CT’s or two with the summer textures. Seems to be a few anomalies in the textures with naming etc as well. Several are different sizes, etc. Not sure if that’s the issue or not. https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview

I was going to upload replacement normal-res textures over the coming weekend, but I'll see if I can do this on Wednesday. On the other hand the hires textures included in the package should also be for fall and winter. Does the CTD occur in other seasons as well? And in which area and at what stage of the flight does it happen?

Also the same at a couple other add-on scenery's / airports. I'll try and pinpoint a little more where and when it happens. https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview
Garciamk3g
Does the CTD occur in other seasons as well? And in which area and at what stage of the flight does it happen? Tested the Ground Textures on the Lappy...... this is where I Do all the testing before moving anything on the main Sim. I Noticed the CTD In Flight Ontario's Scenery CYKZ Buttonville..If I Remember correctly it does it on Summer in Daylight. Reverting back to the default Textures Everything went back to normal no CTD. Guest Sascha66
I think I have identified a potential candidate for this problem. Can one of you check if you have an Evo taxi_bitu.bmp in the fs9/texture folder when the crash does NOT happen?

Can one of you check if you have an Evo taxi_bitu.bmp in the fs9/texture folder when the crash does NOT happen? Hello Sascha, I did some monitoring of the last file being read by FS9 Just before the crash and found the crash occurs while the summer texture 127b2su.bmp is being read ..details below. Last read file was 127b2su1.bmp PS: Perhaps the culprit lies within the summer textures, hope this helps. Guest Sascha66
Thank you, this is very helpful! I'm just uploading a replacement texture into the dropbox EVO2018 directory. Could you please see if this solves the issue? If the CTD persists, could you replace just the 127b2su1.bmp with the default?

Ok, I've just downloaded that Texture file and replaced it, unfortunately the crash still occurs, it seems to be crashing at exactly 54%, I've also tried it with the default texture for that specific file to no Avail. I Will continue to observe here as well once I Get back to see what I Can find. JSMR
Hi Sascha / Abel I just DXT1'd all the high res textures and I had no issues. Perhaps it was the format of the bmp files you used? For some read the 16 bit must've clashed with - I'm guessing - some scenery bgl files somewhere at payware airports. Visualy I'm not sure you'd notice the difference anyway. https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview

Garciamk3g
Going by what JSMR Mentioned above, I Didn't actually convert but I had replaced just the following files from Evo package listed below with the default ones I've backed up and I'm no longer getting the CTD. There are a total of 134 Summer files listed. I have listed the files Below, I used Anti Twin to compare the files with just the large ones, out of 180 large files with the same names Anti Twin only found 134. I then replaced just the 134 files listed below with the default ones and everything seems to be working. genirator.bat 001b2su1.bmp 001b2SU2.bmp 001b2SU3.bmp 001b2SU4.bmp 001b2SU5.bmp 002b2Su1.bmp 002b2Su2.bmp 002b2Su3.bmp 002b2Su4.bmp 002b2Su5.bmp 002b2Su6.bmp 002b2Su7.bmp 003b2su1.bmp 003b2su2.bmp 003b2su3.bmp 003b2su4.bmp 003b2su5.bmp 003b2su6.bmp 003b2su7.bmp 006a2su1.bmp 006A2su2.bmp 006a2su3.bmp 006A2Su4.bmp 006a2su5.bmp 006a2su6.bmp 006a2su7.bmp 006b2su1.bmp 006b2su2.bmp 006b2Su3.bmp 006b2su4.bmp 006b2su5.bmp 006b2su6.bmp 006b2su7.bmp 009b2su1.bmp 009b2su2.bmp 009b2su3.bmp 009b2su4.bmp 009b2su5.bmp 009b2su6.bmp 009b2su7.bmp 010b2SU1.bmp 010b2SU2.bmp 010b2SU3.bmp 010b2SU4.bmp 010b2SU5.bmp 010b2SU6.bmp 010b2SU7.bmp 011b2su1.bmp 011b2su2.bmp 011b2su3.bmp 011b2su4.bmp 011b2su5.bmp 011b2su6.bmp 011b2su7.bmp 012b2wa1.bmp 013b2su1.bmp 013b2su2.bmp 013b2su3.bmp 013b2su4.bmp 013b2su5.bmp 013b2su6.bmp 013b2su7.bmp 016b2su1.bmp 016b2su2.bmp 016b2su3.bmp 016b2su4.bmp 016b2su5.bmp 050b2Su1.bmp 050b2Su2.bmp 050b2Su3.bmp 050b2Su4.bmp 050b2Su5.bmp 050b2Su6.bmp 050b2Su7.bmp 051b2su1.bmp 051b2su2.bmp 051b2su3.bmp 051b2su4.bmp 051b2su5.bmp 051b2su6.bmp 051b2su7.bmp 052b2Su1.bmp 052b2Su2.bmp 052b2Su3.bmp 052b2Su4.bmp 052b2Su5.bmp 052b2Su6.bmp 052b2Su7.bmp 055b2Su1.bmp 055b2Su2.bmp 055b2Su3.bmp 055b2Su4.bmp 055b2Su5.bmp 056a2SU1.bmp 056a2SU2.bmp 056a2SU3.bmp 056a2SU4.bmp 056a2SU5.bmp 056a2SU6.bmp 056a2SU7.bmp 056b2su1.bmp 056b2su2.bmp 056b2su3.bmp 056b2su4.bmp 056b2su5.bmp 056b2su6.bmp 056b2su7.bmp 056C2SU1.bmp 056C2SU2.bmp 056C2SU3.bmp 056C2SU4.bmp 056C2SU5.bmp 056C2SU6.bmp 056C2Su7.bmp 058b2su1.bmp 058b2su2.bmp 058b2su3.bmp 058b2su4.bmp 058b2su5.bmp 058b2su6.bmp 058b2su7.bmp 067b2su1.bmp 067b2su2.bmp 067b2su3.bmp 067b2su4.bmp 067b2su5.bmp 067b2su6.bmp 067b2su7.bmp 123b2su1.bmp 124b2su1.bmp 125b2su1.bmp 126b2su1.bmp Comparing the sizes with the ones I have backed up from the FS9 Installed on the Laptop you can see on the far right the size differences. JSMR
SO when you mean the default you've backed up, do you mean the previous EVO package? Also is 037bwa1 missing from the 2018 EVO water texture list or did I somehow delete it? https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview
Garciamk3g
SO when you mean the default you've backed up, do you mean the previous EVO package? Negative, Default as in the the ones I Had last in the Sim Not related to Evo. Also is 037bwa1 missing from the 2018 EVO water texture list or did I somehow delete it? [037B2WA1.bmp] is not in the [Evo 2018 Package] from what I'm seeing. But it is in my Scenery world Texture. I believe it just overwrites the necessary files that are intended as part of the Evo Package The rest are Default. Guest Sascha66
Ok, so the problem is actually with the hires textures. I'll upload a set of Dxt1 textures asap, thank you both for troubleshooting. I had several CTDs when experimenting with the hires and pared them down until no more CTDs occured on my setup. It seems that some add-ons include default textures but locked to a certain format in the bgl compilation. Visually there is a difference when viewing from a distance, crisper and more detailed, which is why I included them.

JSMR
Thank you, I never thought of the obvious: use hires textures and convert them to DXT1! Duh! Well, maybe. I guess they're still not as highres as the original format you did them in. Is there a different 16/32 bit option to keep them intact? https://fshub.io/airline/RUA/overview
Guest Sascha66
I guess not, there are all sorts of format restraints and dxt1 is the default format so the safest choice.
Guest Sascha66
Found a way to get hires textures batched to DXT1 with Imagetool. FS9 tested with full hires textures and works! I have uploaded a separate set to the dropbox and updated the original set to be all standard resolution, so two distinct options available.
