ArielDio409
Hello. I'm having a problem with my FSX. I've had FSX for quite a long time with some addons and it worked well. but now it starts to crash when I use the Alt bar on the top or when doing a right click, I opened the event viewer and this is the error: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x18000000 Faulting process id: 0xc7c Faulting application start time: 0x01d29a11d4e750f3 Faulting application path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 4cccd773-0608-11e7-bd21-902b3466a8e4 I have the latest Nvidia driver. Any solution should help. Thanks.
longbreak754
The likely cause of this is an incompatibility with a file called uiautomationcore.dll, a number of versions will be present on your system in the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders. However, if you are using Win7/8/10 then the ones included are not fully compatible with FSX. The following version numbers of the uiautomationcore.dll file work with FSX..... uiautomationcore.dll version 6.0.6001.18000 uiautomationcore.dll version 6.0.5840.16386 Do an internet search to find them, and download the zip file to a temp location. Extract the zip file into the temp location. Then place a copy of the file into the ROOT directory of FSX - i.e. in the main FSX folder in the same location as the fsx.exe file - AND NOWHERE ELSE. Very important: DO NOT place a copy of the file into the Program Folders listed above nor remove any other version of the uiautomationcore.dll file(s) found within them - they are essential files used by other programs. You only need one copy of the file - if one version does not cure the problem then try the other. Regards Brian
