deepdiver8055
Well this is not the exact model she flew but since I did the Amelia Earhart's 2014 repaint on the PC-12 I had to do the original paint scheme painted on the original Amelia Earhart's Electra that vanished in the pacific. This model, for FSX is by Aeroplane Heaven which they did a fantastic job on it. It flies great and is a lot of fun. It's the commercial/passenger model where Amelia's was a cargo version. This one is very close to Amelia's plane so I went ahead with the repaint anyway just because. http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo334/asw8055/Repaints/2016-1-13_18-21-0-16.png http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo334/asw8055/Repaints/2016-1-13_18-19-19-963.png http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo334/asw8055/Repaints/2016-1-13_18-23-14-107.png http://i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo334/asw8055/Repaints/2016-1-13_18-22-2-286.png ~A~ Some of the repaints I've created: https://www.flickr.com/photos/121556714@N07/albums

KCD
That's a very nice looking Electra, Alan, and a very nice repaint as well. (I wish I could draw curved lines.)
deepdiver8055
Thank You KCD! actually you *Can* draw curves... anyone can. The key word here is: Bezel as in bezel curves by using the Pen Tool in photoshop. Once you understand how they work it's really very easy. When I started painting I opened my first paintkit which was for the A2A P51 which by the way is very good to start learning on because the paint kits are very user friendly. After opening the paint kit I seen all those layers and said not NO but Hell NOOOO I'm not getting into this stuff, then after 3 or so years of practicing and after developing the understanding of how photoshop and paint kits work after starting to learn a few days later, then it became a mission to try and master repainting. I have to say I have a few tricks up my sleeve that others still wonder how I do the things I have but hey I can't reveal all my secrets. You can do whatever u set out to do with determination and the *will* and you'll learn your own secrets as you paint more and more. deepdiver8055
Thank You Adam. Yes get both Amelia repaint versions. Both aircraft are superb to fly too and that Electra just grows on you the more you fly it. kumara
Hi Guys! I wonder if this skin (BTW it's an excellent job: well done!) can be modified to take out the passengers' windows. From what I can see the Alpha channel of the fuselage does not handle the transparency on the model, but possibly a bump map. I can eventually modify the aircraft.cfg for the 14 cylinders, extra fuel and power of the E version used by Earhart, and even if adding the circular antenna would require a remodeling in 3D, at least removing the fuselage windows would be a step towards a more accurate appearance. Anyone has any idea? TIA
