About This File
FS2004 USAF Convair B-58 Hustler. The aircraft represented is 59-2451 (tail number 92451), nicknamed "The Firefly", of the 43rd Bomb Wing stationed at Carswell AFB. The aircraft was used to set several world speed records including the New York to Paris speed record of 3 hours 19 minutes 51 seconds at an average speed of 1,089.36 mph in May 1961. B-58s tended to not have any special squadron markings because the stickers and paint would tear or burn off due to the high speed range the B58 operated in. The special red marking were worn for the record run and retained for the air show. These textures are intended for use with the Alpha Simulations "B-58 Hustler" payware aircraft package. Textures and repaint by Frank Safranek.
