FS98 Extra 300LX. An improved version of the Extra 300 and 300L. The Extra 300LX is powered by the 330 hp Lycoming AEIO 540-L1B5 engine. A maximum roll rate in excess of 380 degrees per second, coupled with a body-crunching +/- 10 "G" load factor and 3200 feet per minute climb rate make the Extra 300LX the right aircraft to promote flight safety and the thrill of aviation. This is one of the new planes of world famous Northern Lights aerobatic team. They replaced the old 300's with the LX versions at the 2000 season.
