About This File
FS5/FSFS SPAD VII as flown by Sergeant Jacques Rafael Rocques, Spa. 48, summer 1917. The SPAD VII was introduced to combat in the summer of 1916. Although it was not immediately popular with most service pilots, who prefered the light, easy agility of machines like the Nieuport 17, the SPAD gradually acquired a reputation for speed and ruggedness that the Nieuport could not match. Includes AFX and texture files. By Andrew W. Hall.
