FS2004 Scenery--Olympia Airport (KOLM), Washington (WA), serves Olympia and Thurston County and is owned by the Port Of Olympia. The airport has more than one runway. The longest is a paved runway extending 5419 feet. The facility is at an elevation of 206 feet at a distance of about 4 miles from Olympia. The Port of Olympia assumed ownership of the Olympia Regional Airport in 1963, although local commercial aviation goes back to the 1920s. In 1997 the Port completed projects and plans that position the airport to take advantage of new aviation markets and make the facility an even more attractive and competitive location for corporate operations.
