About This File

FS2002 ProjectAI ELL Estonian Air Fokker F50. Launched in November 1983, the Fokker 50 was designed as an enhanced follow-on to earlier Fokker models. One enhancement was more powerful engines, delivering higher cruising speeds, greater fuel economy and range. Other improvements include updated avionics to decrease flight crew workload and small winglets to enhance efficiency. Fokker declared bankruptcy on March 15, 1996 due to poor financial performance. The last Fokker 50 was delivered in May 1997. The F50 is 82 feet 9 inches / 25.24 m and has a wingspan of 95 feet 2 inches / 29.02 m. It's powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127B engines and flies at 290 knots / 537 km/h / 0.44 mach with a range of 1400 nm / 2593 km. The aircraft has a crew of two and can accomodate 50-58 passengers.
