FS2002 Scenery--Project Pakistan Shah Faisal Mosque. The Mosque is an 80% rendition of the real thing and features realistic night light effects. The Grand Shah Faisal Mosque is situated at the foot of the Margalla Hills in the Pakistani Capital city of Islamabad. This Mosque was designed by a Turkish architect Vadat Dalokay. It was constructed at a cost of US $50 million, which was denoted by the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia and has been named after him. It is spread over 1,89,705-sq. meters with 88 meter high minarets and 40 meter high main prayer hall. Being the largest mosque in the world it also has the biggest cantelever roof of any kind. It can accomodate 10,000 while the covered verandahs can take over 24,000 worshippers. The main court yard has space for 40,000 people. By Ali Mujtaba. (See also PPISBPAT.ZIP)
