FS5/FSFS Convair CV-340 short haul commercial transport. The Convair family was one of the most successful attempts to replace the Douglas DC-3 after the second World War. The CV-340 was a development utilizing Double Wasp Pratt & Whitney engines, and was considered to be one of the most advanced short haul airliners of its day. By Dennis Wasnich.
