FSX Scenery--Block Island Airport. Block Island State Airport (KBID) is located in the Atlantic Ocean South of Rhode Island (RI), USA and is a publicly-owned, public use facility established in June, 1950. KBID features a 2502 x 100 foot wide lighted asphalt runway with 4-light PAPI's on both ends. The airport has a lighted wind indicator in a segmented circle and a dusk to dawn land airport beacon. The airport is home to 4 aircraft - 3 single engine and 1 multi. • CTAF/UNICOM: 123.0 • WX AWOS-3PT: 134.775 (KBID) • Runway: 10/28 - 2502 x 100 Feet • Field Elevation: 107.9 Feet My version came about as an attempt to provide a more accurate version of the airport and the surrounding area using the stock FSX scenery with no add-ons.
