X-Plane 11 SA-2 SAM Site 1.0. This is an Egyptian SA-2 SAM site as used effectively in the 1973 Yom Kippur war. Made for me by Ray Hill as a mod of his Bloodhound SAM: BRISTOL_BLOODHOUND.ZIP. This is 95 percent Ray's work, as I just added paint and the concept, along with help getting the missiles to lock on and explode. To operate, just switch on the avionics and missile arm, then use the radar range to see the enemy aircraft you've already set up. Use map to click on them if needed to drag them into range. Select next target (define your own keyboard command for this) and the target will turn red on the radar. To select a missile, use 2D mode (shift + W) and click on the missile you want and it will start flashing. Press space bar to fire. Follow its flight with the shift + 7 view, or follow the enemy aircraft with Next Aircraft Keyboard command. You can also use this SAM as a ground target to destroy. By Alan Ashforth.
