About This File

MSFS 2020 Airbus A318. This is a merge between Abad Studios A318 and FlyByWire Stable 0.6.3 version. I do not know if it works well with older/newer versions of the FBW aircraft. A bit of background of Abad - who are they? They're just a bunch of thieves who figured, they can steal Project Airbus aircraft, which originaly was developed for FS2004 and used in FSX as well, and FlyByWire aircraft, which was a community project (both freeware). Abad merged these aircraft and sold them as their own. Turns out, the flightsim community can be nasty if wants to be and soon after start of sales, the whole studio was pushed into abbys. Anyway, I did miss flying smaller Airbuses in MSFS so I did this merge (I'm working on A319) and decided to make it available to MSFS community, as a freeware of course. By Andrzej Glowacki.

in cockpit screens are blank, no information at all. The jet exhaust heat looks like a vapour trail with a corrupted graphic file. Flies ok though if you can accept the limitations.

jeckle you need to have FBW 0.63 in your community folder/active in order for this merge to work.

I'm aware of this weird exhaust. I'm trying to get rid of it, just like I'm trying to fix the lights positions.

brytskiva, at the moment I'm not planning to do merge with latest versions. The reason for it is that I don't see enough justification for it. I admire the efforts of FBW to make this aircraft THE best on the market (and let's face it, they managed to do it a long time ago and that is considering all FSX and P3D airbuses) but the new version does not have functionalities I am using or will be using often. I'm sure this is the case for a lot of virtual pilots out there. At the moment, I consider progress for the sake of progress pointless :)

maybe some day :)

Great job! It is great to have some older generation jets and the A318 works well in MSFS. Would be better if the downloads weren't so large as these large files take so long to download. Just having a single livery in the main file would chop 25%u0025 off the A318 download. If there are any updates, people will have to download liveries they already have just to get an update of the core content. Can't comment on the A319 since it'll be another 3 hours until the download is finished! Other liveries could be available for download separately only if wanted. 10 of the 13 included A318 liveries appear with no thumbnail. Glad you are trying to fix the exhaust issue. None of these issues matter much, so thanks for sharing your work.
