X-Plane 11 Scenery--KGVL Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport 1.1, Georgia, USA. Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport. Lee Gilmore Memorial Airport, Gainesville GA, is just off of picturesque Lake Lanier in the heart of Georgia’s mountain country. You wouldn’t guess it was a high-hill airport if you didn’t, like me, taxi through the northern airport fence, turn right and look to the left, then taxi the airport’s perimeter roadways only to discover X-Plane’s roadway stop lights actually function (what a hoot!)
