About This File

X-Plane 11 Scenery--Santa Rosa Regional Airport (SERO) Ecuador 1.0. Santa Rosa Regional Airport (also known as Coronel de Artilleria Victor Larrea Airport) serves the city of Machala in the El Oro province, Ecuador. It is located in Santa Rosa, 28 km south from Machala. It was inaugurated in 2010 when Machala's "General Manuel Serrano" airport was closed. This airport was built next to the Santa Rosa Agro airfield which is a private airstrip used for cropdusting. Though it is not part of the same airport, the Santa Rosa Agro runway appears in the airport charts. However, both airfields are separate and there is no physical connection between both. Santa Rosa tower must be contacted for takeoff and landing clearance. This scenery pack contains both the Santa Rosa and Santa Rosa Agro runways with various starting points. Until recently, Tame had daily flights from Quito. Since 2019, Aeroregional flies to Santa Rosa and recently, Latam Ecuador announced it will operate from Quito. Different shrimp farms and banana farms operate from Santa Rosa and have their hangars here as well as Alas del Ecuador flight school. Daily general aviation flights from Guayaquil and other parts of the coast can be seen here. Occasionally, military flights operate to and from Santa Rosa. Please see the Readme.txt file for more information including library requirements. By Sandro Rota - Ecuador Aviation Photography.
