About This File

FSX Goodyear K-28 Navy Blimp. WWII K-class Navy blimp, whose gondola has been restored at New England Air Museum. Model created in 3ds Max for FSX. Includes restoration details completed after 2011. VC includes complete model,with multiple camera views, including inside helium envelope. Includes .pdf file explaining controls. Blimp K28 spent most of WWII with squadron ZP-24 in Weeksville, North Carolina. By George Diemer.

Thank you for this! My dad was a Navy blimp pilot. He flew a lot of K ships along with others. Dad's been gone since 2000. but thankfully he was one of the only Navy guys to take home movies during his time. So we have those to remember his adventures.

Just wanted to chime in, this is a very well done model. It brings back memories when these airships filled the skies. Excellent FDE and the textures are first rate. George, thank you for your gift.. it's superb.. Highly recommend this model.. Great fun.. low and slow...tp
