About This File

FSX/Accel Ocean Liner RMS Queen Mary. FSX/Acceleration pilotable ocean liner RMS Queen Mary plus AI model. This vessel was the queen of the Atlantic. She sailed from 1936 until 1967 between Southampton, Cherbourg and New York, won the Blue Riband (for record crossings) in 1936 and kept it until 1952 (except 1937 were won the Normandie). During WWII she served as a troop ship. She has a length of 311 m/1019 feet, a beam of 36 m/118 feet since 1967 and reached with her four engines of 200.000 Shp/150.000 Kw up to 33 knots. With a crew of 1100 men she carried up to 2,139 passengers. Since 1967 the Queen Mary is moored at Long Beach, California and serves as museum, restaurant and hotel ship. The pilotable version has a extremely detailed virtual historical navigation bridge plus a photoreal 2D panel. Thirty camera views let you explore all decks and the virtual bridge. The gauges are made by Pierre-Jean Carosin. The AI model is proposed for the great tool Ai-carriers2. FSDS 3.5 models and 2D panel by Erwin Welker.

Hi Dom,

as child a built the Queen Mary as plastic model, in 1990 I have visited her together with my wife and son at Long Beach, and now I can command her as captain :-)

By the way, I lost your e-mail address!

Enjoy

Erwin

Pierre Carosin! are you stupid or something? Possibly a 90 IQ...maybe so. Your textures on these ships are so pitiful!

Hi captcraig,

if you don't like the gauges than make better ones and publish it to the community

(if you are able to to that!)

instead of offending somebody who offers freeware.

You guys should be lucky to get hundred thousand of freeware and instead of giving a good feedback you are critisizing and you are even offending.

What a shame!

Beautifully done ! Make sure you set special effects to medium as higher setting causes big FPS drop when wake is activated. This applies to all ships when running on a modest system.

This would be the perfect fit for those running FS2004 on the CalClassic retro scenery. Does this even work with FS2004?

Thank you, great work as usual.
