FS98 Lockheed Jetstar-I. Introduced in 1961, the Lockheed Jetstar was the first business, luxury executive transport aircraft, accommodating a crew of 2 and 8-10 passengers. 164 units were built. It was powered by four 3,300 lbf thrust Pratt & Whitney JT12A-8 turbojet engines, with a top speed of 478 knots. In 1976, Lockheed built a further 40 upgraded units powered by turbofan engines, and Garrett converted an additional 61 to JetStar 731 configuration. By the turn of the century, over 100 Jetstars were still flying Original AFX by Eric Johnson, re-worked and updated for FS98 with rounder fuselage, engines and slipper tanks, 3D animated landing gear and completely textured.
