FSX/FSX-SE Scenery--2B2-Plum Island Airport. Plum Island Airport (2B2) is located on the northeast coast of Massachusetts (MA), USA and is a privately owned, public use facility established in April, 1940. 2B2 features a 2105 x 50 ft asphalt runway and a 2300 x 100 ft turf runway. The airport has multiple wind indicators. The airport is home to six single engine aircraft. This little airport was very familiar to me when growing up and in the late 1970's the R/C airplane club I was a member of performed several open house airshows there. This version came about as an attempt to provide a more accurate version of the airport and the surrounding area using the stock FSX scenery with no add-ons. The project uses all freely available libraries and is an approximate representation of the airport. By Frederick Zealor.
