About This File

FSX Bell P-39 Airacobra Panel Correction for use with FSX_P39_AIRACOBRA.ZIP. After uploading the package I've discovered a minor graphic shortcoming in the brown VC, which somewhat disturbs the pilot's view at the panel. As I've invested a lot of time in designing the VC I want it to be perfect, so here is a correction. Very easy installation, just delete the old panel folder and replace it with the new one. Oh Boy Mike!! I am very familiar with P-39. Used to fly two of them in 1/4 scale R/C. You have done a fantastic job. Just two small things on my end. The nose wheel strut scissor does not scissor. Nose wheel buries. I am not completely sure when on autopilot how to capture heading.

Michael.. An excellent rendition of one of my favorite war birds. I understand better why the military did not like P-39 Aircobra and elected to send them to China in WWII. This little beast replicates the probably sqirrelly handling of the short coupled, mid-engined craft. IRL, it was under powered and over weight. Very good job on the modeling, the cockpit, the sounds and the slippery FDE. Thank you for bringing this little jewel to life...Terry

to Andreas, to understand why the engine won't start, write an Email to my Email address telling me exactly what the problem is. Normally there is a standard key in FSX for engine start, but the engine starts automativally on my side.

to Terry, thanks for your appreciation! It wasn't me though who modeled the plane, I only modeled the cockpit. But thanks anyway...Michael

You did an excellant job of this, normally FSX airplane. Since I fly it by hand I don't need the update but thanks anyway. By the way, I've only got FS9 having found that FSX just gobbles my memory, so I dumped it! AND the buildings were unreal...BUT it works great on FS9/Windows 10.

Oh; and he's right about the nose leg - the strut is rigid and the wheel just buries itself...liveable though. So I don't look.
