X-Plane 11 Scenery--Kitimat Airpark CBW2 v2.1, British Columbia, Canada. The Kitimat Airpark is a small uncontrolled GA field just north of the city of Kitimat. It is situated in the Kitimat Valley only 18.3 NM south of the larger Kitimat/Terrace airport CYXT and is alongside the beautiful Kitimat River and is surrounded by mountainous terrain. The strip itself is challenging to operate from because of large old growth coastal forest surrounding the runway. It is a 3000 foot oiled gravel surface that can be rough with a few potholes. It is an exciting part of the world to fly small GA and amphib aircraft from as the valley terrain is spectacular and it is quite near CYXT, adjacent Lakelse Lake to the north, and the Douglas Channel heading south of Kitimat.
