About This File

FSX/SE Scenery--KOAR-Marina Municipal Airport. Marina Municipal Airport (KOAR), is located in south coastal California (CA), USA and is a publicly owned, public use facility established as Fritzsche Army Air Field in 1960 and acquired by the city or Marina in 1994. KOAR features a 3483 x 75 foot lighted asphalt runway with a two light PAPI on the 29 end and a lighted wind indicator in a segmented circle plus a dusk to dawn green/white beacon. The airport is home to 57 aircraft - 44 single engine, 5 multi, 4 jet and 4 ultralights. This version came about as the result of a request from a former scenery designer and is an attempt to provide a more accurate version of the airport and the surrounding area using the stock FSX scenery with no add-ons. The project uses all freely available libraries and is an approximate representation of the airport. By Frederick Zealor.

Thanks Frederick. I fly in/out of Marina in the sim very often and your scenery is a vast improvement over default scenery. Very nice job. I like the fact that it looks 'busy' and 'populated' like the real one. The static objects give it a 'real' feel to it. The new hangars are great. Beautiful work. Thanks again.

PS: I only installed the 'scenery' and the 'texture' folders and not the other 'required' files to see how it looked. Looks great!

Hi Chuck, glad you liked Marina...every time I do a new scenery, I learn so much about ADE, GMAX and FSX/SE.

I have a lot of fun and it keeps my mind working (somewhat ) I realize the list of libraries is quite long, but after you install them once you will have them for all of my work and a lot of other scenery designers. They are not all used all the time but there are a lot of details in that collection.

Again, thanks for the nice comments and keep the greasy side down.
