FSX-SE Scenery--KIGX-Horace Williams Airport. Horace Williams Airport (KIGX), now closed, was located in north-central North Carolina (NC), USA and was a publicly owned, public use facility established November, 1937 and closed May, 2018. KIGX featured a 4005 x 100 ft lighted asphalt runway with wind indicators and a sunset to sunrise beacon. The airport was home to 15 single engine aircraft. This version came about at the request of a pilot formally based at KIGX, as an attempt to provide a more accurate version of the airport and the surrounding area prior to its closing using the stock FSX scenery with no add-ons. The project uses all freely available libraries and is an approximate representation of the airport. By Frederick Zealor.
