FS2004 1962 Cali Colombia Scenery. This scenery depicts Calipuerto airport as it was in 1962. Originally built in 1947 at the request of Panagra, Calipuerto served Cali, Colombia through 1972 when it was replaced by the larger Palmaseca International Airport at La Esmeralda. With no ILS, tall mountains on either side and located in a narrow valley, Calipuerto was considered to be one of the world's most dangerous airports. It served Avianca along with other local Colombian carriers, and was on the trunk line for Panagra, Aerovias Panama, and Ecuatoriana. By Mike Stevens.
