About This File

FSX Percival K3 Vega Gull. The next development of the Percival Gull was the K3 model. The most obvious change was the redesigned moulded windscreen & the loss of the overhead windows above the rear passengers. The depicted aircraft P5989 c/n 105 was one of 8 ordered by the Air Ministry and taken on charge in April 1939. She survived WWII and was registered G-AHET in 1945. She had many owners, but one of note was Mike Hawthorn, the British racing driver, whose colours are shown also. Thanks to Nigel Richards for some tuition in texturing and for use of his Avro series Pilots face as a base for that used. Designed in, this version is intended to portover to FSX and uses 2048 textures for added definition. By Keith Paine. (See also PERCIVAL_K3_VEGA_GULL_CORRECTION.ZIP)

Aircraft showed up in my FSX selection file, but would not show up on the runway when I selected it. I followed the installation directions twice. Is anyone else having this problem?

Did have a comment from one beta tester using FSXA but he had a choice of graphics card IIRC, one would the other wouldn't show!

Please check the model folder. There should be two files within viz; model.cfg & VG_K3.mdl.Open model.cfg, the entry should read 'VG_K3', if it says VG_K3_5t.mdl, then delete the '_5t'.

If that cures it then I will have to issue a correction!

Cricket29 - Your problem looks as if the texture files have not been recognised. I have just experimented by deleting the full stop between 'texture.HET_2048' and that did the same thing as you describe, so check that there is nothing changed in the folder titles & that they match the listing in the aircraft.cfg.
