About This File

FS2004/FSX/Accel/P3D v3 Package Arado-234 Jet Bomber. The Arado Ar-234 Blitz was in World War II a high sophisticated jet powered aircraft, supposed for multible purposes. Generally eqipped with two Jumo engines but there were also prototypes with two BMW twin or four single engines. As good as the aerodynamics and the the high speed was the flight handling. The only surviving aircraft is now in a museum near Washington D.C. The models has a realistic 2D panel, made by Lobo Da Silva for CFS2 and a matching VC, both with animated yoke. All models have different animations, one model carries and drops a 1000 kg bomb, the other has a Fieseler Fi-103 "V1" flying bomb on its back and the third is a night-fighter with gun pod. FSDS 3.5 model by Erwin Welker.

Hi complainers!

All of you shoud read my README. Then you know what the problem is and how to solve it.

Or just load the aircraft even you can't see a preview and then use my camera views!

FS2004 users should use the alternative MDLs WITHOT brake chute!

It works from FS2004, FSX, Accel and P3dV3 but reading the README should be an advantage!

Another masterpiece from Erwin. You just got to amend the aircraft cfgs to reduce engine power to 0.45 or so, and footbrake to 0.7 or so. It then both flies well - M=.99 max, approaches the runway at 130kts or so and, with engines idling, touches down sweetly at 99kts or so. It then brakes realistically on landing. And - it's FREE...

...forgot to mention - to see it in SPOT VIEW it is necessary - at EACH loading - to adjust view distance to 100 feet or so - originally it is 19800 feet - over 3 1/2 MILES...

Hi nortopj

thanks for your comments!

I will change those parameters as you said.

Please can you tell me and the others how to "adjust view distance"?

Have fun

It's a really nice model, but plagued with errors. Although I swapped out the model for the one without the brake chute, the README file is inadequate to correct these issues in FS9. The only way I could fix it was with FS Panel Studio (missing radios and flaps), Addit! Pro (missing effects), AirEd and ACM (incorrect parameters). The landing gear doesn't retract, but I'll try another gauge or create a new one. The tail gun is an endless stream of flying brass, smoke and flash, which will need some tweaks.

Not every sim pilot uses these tools, so dismissing them as complainers is uncalled for. Content developers do well to anticipate every possibility to make their releases run out of the zip, even with freeware. It's infinitely better to listen to criticisms rather than dismissing them, then re-release the model with fixes made.

That said, thank you. It's a nice addition to my warbirds collection.

Hi dleblanc

I have a huge Freeware collection. Many hundreds of them are without gear or flaps or other issues. During the last 20 years I have improved more than 1000 addons for my personal use. Feel free to choose a radio regarding your gusto.

And let me remind you: I am a modeller and not a FDE specialist. Of course the gear works, externly and also the gear gauge, at least in my FS9, FSX and P3dV3.

The tailgun can be operated with the strobe light key which is on the 2D and VC panel and there is no endless smoke.

My critics means those guys who are to lazy to read my README but who has enough time to spread public critics.

I always write detailed READMEs but I am very sorry when I forget sometimes some details, like mentioning the operation of the strobe light effects.

I am allways open for useful critics but why you do not contact me personally? Even my e-mail adress is in the README.

Not complaining Erwin, just dumb! I missed the part about the model swap for FS2004. Outstanding aircraft. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your future work........

Hi jamminjames,

there is no difference between the model for FS2004 and FSX. But since FS2004 has no camera views it is strictly recommended to use the alternative files without brake chute to avoid the display problem.

Better I had provided that models without braking chute as default and those with chute optional.

Sorry, but I am not at the end of a learning process.

I myself use in FSX the models with braking chute and instead of using spot or locked view I watch my airplane with my camera views.

Thanks for your interest in my future work! I will continiue to provide models working from FS2004 up to P3dV3.

I am very sorry that I can not support all the users of P3dV4!

I should have said alternative files without brake chute. I installed the aircraft in FSX first and it worked great. Just overlooked that part in the readme when I installed into Fs2004.

2 persons told me that the Arado isn't flyable. This might happen if the scenery settings are set to autodensity EXTREM. In that case please reduce to NORMAL and you will get excellent flight handling.

Enjoy your flights

Sorry it took a long time to find the error about the default views using the break chute version.

In the meantime I found the error and you can install my upgrate which will also usable in FS2004.

Search for that file:
