About This File

FSX/P3D Gloster Meteor U Mk.16. The Gloster Meteor U Mk.16 was an unmanned target drone based on the F Mk.8. This was the second drone to be based on the Meteor, after the U Mk.15, which had been based on the F Mk.4. The first prototype U Mk.16 flew on 22 October 1956, the last U.16 conversion was made as late as 1972. This model represents Gloster Meteor U.16 WK800, belonging to the RAE at RAF Llanbedr. Native FSX/P3D model by A.F. Scrub.

Unfortunately this model does not come equipped with the cockpit control in order to fly it in Piloted/Remote control mode, and as such the cockpit appears to be a basic F8. The real WK800 resides in the museum at Old Sarum.

My U16 model that is included in the Llanbedr Project will portover to FSX & is flyable remotely or using the cockpit control box.

Correction - brain fade - my meteor U16 is a stand-alone model & can be found in this library. Sorry for misleading info, I was thinking of my Jindivik whick is included in the Llanbedr project.

The virtual cockpit in this model is from one of Rob Richardson's Meteors and is being used without permission.

I dont know who A.F.Scrub is but you might have thought that he/she/they would have had the wit to have stolen a better one than that!

Very relieved to no longer be involved in all this childishness. We are talking kids' toys gents.

In his readme Mr Scrub has given Rob Richardson credits for the "internal model", so I woudn't call it "stealing".

As far as I know, Scrub has always given credits to the original designers of features he has used in his updates.
