About This File

FSX/P3D V3 Convair 880 Mega Package With New Panels. This is a new FSX update for the FS2002 Convair 880, previously posted by uploader. This mega package now features five liveries, among them the Convair purchased by Elvis Presley in 1975 which he named Lisa Marie after his wife. The package also features a completely revised and much more realistic VC and the 2D panel I used for my earlier Douglas DC-8. Automatic smoke and burner added. Credit goes to Rey Lopez for the original model, to Christian Page and Marc Beaumont for their repaints and to Philippe Wallaert for many of his excellent gauges. New revised panels, effects and the Lisa Marie repaint by Michael Pook.

Total rubbish! Sorry but the model looks too cartoonish to be taken seriously. There are far better models available, this one looks like a drawing no matter how you view it. The instruments failed to appear in the VC no matter what I did, and the 2d panel is just a photograph with nothing working! The smoke effects work fine though. Very disappointing. :(

how about reading the readme, as far as how copying gauges into the gauges directory is concerned??!! But I apologize, maybe you can't read too well... By the way, there is no other freeware Convair 880 available with a functioning VC. And above all, Buddy, this is HOBBY! Think twice before you start criticising the way you do.

And as for the model, this is a very old FS2002 model, not a native FSX, so don't exspect the quality of a payware or a modern FSX model. But who knows, maybe you could do a better job.

I DID read the "Read-me" file thoroughly thank you and the gauges still did not show up. Obviously a glitch occured somewhere along the line. Yes I do know it's a hobby and yes I do know that there are many FS2002 models that have crossed over successfully, some more so than others. (my virtual hangar is huge). All I am saying is that for me, this one just doesn't tick all the boxes the way that others do.
