X-Plane 9.70+ Scenery--O46 Weed Airport 1.10, CA, USA. Weed Airport, located in California, is surrounded by a pretty wind-swept barren volcanic plain, not populated green textures as XP9 wants to put there. So this scenery emphasises the barrenness as it was perhaps in the 1940's by leaving out the divided highway and the new twin rest areas that actually share the airport location. The taxiway is not edge-lighted. Even though there isn't much there, the scenery uses Jacques Brault's hangars and objects, as well as some custom made ones (author's own). The ortho images are from the USGS, processed in The GIMP. Version 1.10 cleans up the runway and ramp textures, adds area orthos to accent the field's high desert location amongst unique volcanic 'lava domes' that are visible from the nearby U.S. HWY 5.
