FSX Percival Gull 6 G-ADPR. A repaint for Keith Paine's Percival D3 Gull Six for flightsimmers who wish to use it in FSX. G-ADPR c/n D55 was built by Percival at Gravesend in August 1935. Registered to Miss Jean Batten, the New Zealander aviatrix. In 1935 she set a world record flying from England to Brazil in G-ADPR. In 1936 she set another world record with a solo flight from England to New Zealand, also flying G-ADPR. She was awarded the title of Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 1936. G-ADPR was preserved in airworthy condition at the Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden and displayed regularly until sold to New Zealand in March 1995. Now hanging from the roof of Auckland Airport Terminal building. Repaint by Peter Watkins.
