About This File

X-Plane 10 Handley Page HP 42/45 1.5.1. The Handley Page H.P.42 and H.P.45 were British four-engine biplane airliners designed to a 1928 Imperial Airways specification by Handley Page of Radlett in Hertfordshire. The HP42 was designed for the long-range Eastern routes and the similar HP45 was built for the European routes. Imperial Airways called the HP 42 the H.P.42E (E for "Eastern" routes - India and South Africa), while the HP 45 was the H.P.42W (W for "Western" i.e. European routes). This X-Plane model looks much like the vintage aircraft, but the author has taken the liberty of adding some modern avionics to the panel for those wanting to follow the original routes. No GPS or FMS, but there is an autopilot and radio with an HSI so the pilot does not have to hand fly the plane for hours on end. Please read the 'README INFO' file in the package for more complete information. By Ron Norvelle.
