About This File

X-Plane 11 Supermarine S-6B 1.0. This is Jacques Brault's X-Plane 8 and 9 Supermarine S-6B, for X-Plane 11. The Supermarine S.6B was a racing seaplane developed by Reginald Mitchell for the Supermarine company in order to win the Schneider Trophy in 1931. It was the last in the line of racing seaplanes developed by Supermarine and followed the S.4, S.5 and the S.6. The plane is light and power is high. Expect violent tendency to roll to the left on take-off when leaving the water. The S-6B has no flaps so plan your landing well ahead with a shallow descent and no power and touch the water almost in horizontal flight. X-Plane 11 is configured by default for 3D cockpit view, so to use this aircraft you must choose to do one of two things: After loading the aircraft, select 'Option-w' on MacOS for 2D or 'Alt-w' on WinOS for the 2D instrument panel. Thanks to Dataroots for providing the sound files. Thank you to Jacques Brault for creating this aircraft for X-Plane. By Sean McLeod (Aerostarsim).
