About This File

FS2004/FSX Victorianian Galleone Revenge. The four-masted galleon Revenge from 1577. Revenge was in 1588 the flagship of Sir Francis Drake in the great battle against the Spanish Great Armada. In 1590 she was the flagship of the vice admiral Richard Grenville hunting the Spanish silver fleet in the Azores. In 1591 she sank in a storm. The sim-model is almost completely rigged with hundreds of ropes and has twenty-two animated guns. Twenty-seven cameras let you explore the whole ship, including all the upper decks, and you can enjoy the sailors' views from high above in the masts. The effects allows you to fire broadsides to starboard and port separately. The model is supposed to run in Acceleration and P3D (not tested!) and is successfully tested in FS2004. FSDS 3.5 model made by Erwin Welker.

I'm sorry, but what on earth is "Victorianian"?

If you're trying to describe the historical era that the ship is from, the correct term is "Elizabethan", after the English queen of t he time.

"Victorianian" is only a word for people who can;t work out how to stop spelling "Victorian".

I am sorry but I am a very busy author in creating addons, airplanes and ships for the MS fligh simulators. I found the word "Victorian" somewhere in the net concerning my research about the Revenge. I am neither an historian nor an nativ english speaking person. Please excuse my wrong spelling. I hope that wrong spelling will not sink my beautyful REVENGE.

Your ship looks just fine.

It's just that there's three hundred years between the Elizabethan era (the second half of the sixteenth century) where the Revenge belongs, and the Victorian era (the second half of the nineteenth century).

Hi dferstat,

I understand and the time era of 300 years is definitly huge. But to build such a detailed sim model from scratch would cost me about 100 working hours, to get wrong information from the net and wrong spelling is just a thing of seconds. And I do definitly not have the time to read all the complete history of all the models I am constructing.
