About This File

X-Plane 8 And 9 Supermarine S-6B. The Supermarine S6B is a British racing seaplane developed by R.J. Mitchell for the Supermarine company to take part in the Schneider Trophy competition of 1931. It was the last in the line of racing seaplanes developed by Supermarine and followed the S.4, S.5 and the S.6. This X-Pane model is light and power is high. Expect a violent tendency to roll to the left on takeoff when leaving the water. The S-6B has no flaps so plan your landing well ahead with a shallow descent. Touchdown on the water almost in horizontal flight. Thanks again to Dataroots for providing the sound files. By Jacques Brault.
