About This File

FS2004 Taylorcraft Auster Model Plus C. This is the original Auster design based on the plans of the American Taylorcraft B. Built first in 1938 at Thurmaston Leicestershire U.K., the design proved very popular with private flyers with a total of over 4000 being built across all variants. This early model was powered by a Lycoming O 145.A2 engine. Two versions are included - the civilian and military models. These models are built for FS2004 but work tolerably well in FSX. I have really enjoyed flying this Auster/Taylorcraft. It is the closest model for FS9/FSX that is like the BC12D that my dad had many years ago when I was a small child. Really great job on this one, Dave. I wish you would add to your collection some "Yank" models, The BC-12D, L2, L2M, and OA57.
