FS2004/FSX Braniff "Orange" Boeing 727-200

What model should be used. The model indicated in the installation instructions does not show the engine textures. This also occurs with your Eastern 727. Thanks.

The engine textures for the base model do not work. Should be checked and corrected.

A lot of Luis Castro's textures have a missing alpha channel in the TDS727_JT8D-9_T.bmp file, but TDS727_JT8D-217_T.bmp does have an alpha channel. Put model=217 in aircraft.cfg to use the 217 texture. If you've got a graphics editor that can handle alpha, the 9 texture can be fixed by copying the alpha from the 217 texture.

I ran into the same problems with the texture, so I imported the textures from another repaint. Never thought about the alpha. Will give it a try. Thanks for the heads-up.

It would be nice if Luis corrected this problem and upload fixes for the no-alpha bmp's. Not everyone will have the tools or knowledge to fix the missing alphas.

I agree that you could import a base model engine texture from another model. However, for his Eastern 727 model, where there is a specific Eastern color on the engines, you cant do this. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the full color of his great repaints. Wish he would make a correction to the base model engine texture.
