About This File

FSX/P3D Scenery--Aeropuerto Rafael Hernandez (TJBQ) photoreal. Rafael Hernandez Airport (IATA: BQN, ICAO: TJBQ, FAA LID: BQN) is a joint civil-military airport located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. It is named after the Puerto Rican composer Rafael Hernandez Marin and is the second international airport in Puerto Rico in the region of Porta del Sol, Puerto Rico's west coast. It is also home to Coast Guard Air Station Borinquen. Most of the current facilities have been preserved from the Ramey AFB era. The Northeast ramp is currently under development. This scenery was made using high resolution LANDSAT imagery obtained from GIS public domain. All building textures were made using either photographs, 3D models, or were completely custom made using photographs from the web as reference. Some of the scenery features include fully detailed main terminal and Fedex Cargo Apron, modernized control tower (not yet open for ATC use), Martinair, Air France/KLM Cargo hangars, Old DynCorp building, COPECA Jet Center, WASCO, and the 141st Radar Site of the Puerto Rico Air National Guard. New 2015 features include HD taxi/apron textures, nice 3D taxiway signs with reflections, added Lufthansa Technik facilities, new CBP hangar, new Tech School, new surrounding buildings and "the ruins". Also added some static aircraft as currently deployed to BQN. By David Rosado - PhotoRico Scenery Project.
