About This File
X-Plane 9.70+ Lockheed Altair. The Lockheed Altair was a single-engined sport aircraft of the 1930s. It was a development of the Lockheed Sirius with a retractable undercarriage, and was the first Lockheed aircraft and one of the first aircraft designs with a fully retractable undercarriage. It comes with two liveries, one being the famous Lady Southern Cross, who flew the first liaison between Australia and the United States in 1934, the other being the Altair used as a liaison aircraft by the USAF. The cockpit comes from BD Ford's old vega, with added modern nav instruments and autopilot. The sounds are from dataroots. By Thibaud Duhamel.
