About This File

X-Plane 9.70+ Lockheed Q-Star. The Lockheed YO-3 "Quiet Star" was an American single-engined, propeller-driven aircraft that was developed for battlefield observation during the Vietnam War. It was designed to be as quiet as possible, and was intended to observe troop movements in near-silence during hours of darkness. This is the longest lived of all X-Plane programs, 1967-today. A joint project of the Navy, CIA, NASA, and Lockheed Skunk Works, a total of eleven were produced. At least three are still flying of today. Documentation is included. By Billy Bargagliotti.
