About This File

X-Plane 9.70 Baby Ruth 33 And 2005. The Monocoupe 110 Special was a United States sporting and racing aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s. Johnnie Livingston sent his model 110 back to the factory for modification in early 1932, with the airplane reappearing again in May of '32 with clipped wings and tiny wheels for the speed events. Just before the Nationals, a new 145 hp Warner engine was installed on the airframe. Livingston won the Cincinnati Trophy Race and later won two seconds and a third in pylon races. In the 1990's Jim White and his father purchased a resurrected N501W and proceeded to refurbish the airplane and got it back into the air in 2005. By A. Lynn Lockrow (Clipwing).
