About This File
FS98 Polair Tri-Turbo Three. New finely reworked and more detailed black and yellow Polair livery textures by Udo Entenmann, for the Conroy Tri-Turbo Three, as flown on polar missions. In the early 80's, flying from Resolute Bay in Canada, via Thule AFB and Station Nord in Greendland, the Polair Tri-Turbo Three gave logistic support to several scientific research ice-camps near the North Pole. In 1983 this aircraft took the first non-governmental expedition to Antarctica to climb Mount Vinson, refuelling at Rothera Station and landing on the Nimitz Glacier, thus opening the interior of Antatctica to private expeditions and tourism. Requires the aircraft file TRITURBO3.ZIP by Stephan Scholz.
