About This File

X-Plane 9 Canadian Vickers Vedette. The Canadian Vicker Vedette was the first production aircraft designed and build in Canada. It served with the RCAF from about 1926 to 1932 on forestry and photographic mapping. The Vedette would be at home in the scenery with lots of lakes. See the read me file for tips on landing and use of the unconventional magnetic compass. The airplane handles well but has some trim quirks because of the high mounted engine. Water landings go quite well in waves up to 2 feet high. By Jack Wilkinson.
